How the minutes-to-days converter works

The exact conversion rule
One day contains 24 hours and every hour contains 60 minutes, so a day has exactly 1,440 minutes.
Divide minutes by 1,440 to get days. For the reverse conversion, multiply days by 1,440.
Useful examples
- 720 minutes = 0.5 day. That is twelve hours.
- 2,880 minutes = 2 days.
- 10,080 minutes = 7 days. This is one full week.
What the decimal result means
A result such as 1.5 days means one day and another twelve hours. The converter treats a day as a fixed 24-hour unit.
It does not calculate working days, dates, time zones or daylight-saving changes.
