How the weeks-to-days converter works
Enter a duration in weeks or days. The other field updates immediately, and the middle control reverses the direction without changing the duration.
Every week contains seven days
A week is a fixed group of seven consecutive days, so the conversion uses an exact factor:
Multiply weeks by 7 to get days. Divide days by 7 to return to weeks; decimal weeks work too.
Quick duration checks
Half a week is 3.5 days. Multiply 0.5 by 7.
Three weeks are 21 days. This is useful when a schedule is written in weeks but individual tasks are planned by day.
Eight weeks are 56 days. In reverse, 56 divided by 7 returns exactly 8 weeks.
Calendar days are not working days
The result counts every day, including weekends. It does not remove public holidays or turn one week into five working days.
For date arithmetic, time zones and clock changes may matter. This converter only changes the unit used to write a duration.
Questions about weeks and days
